Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup is a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxicillin kills bacteria that cause infections such as pneumonia, skin infections, bronchitis, sinusitis, ear infections, urinary tract infections, genital tract infections, and other respiratory and skin infections. Clavulanic acid helps to stop the bacteria from growing and multiplying. It is used to treat infections of the lungs (pneumonia), bronchopneumonia, ear infections, urinary tract infections, and other respiratory infections. It is also used to treat infections of the skin and around the mouth (oral candidiasis). It is an antibiotic medicine. Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup should be used with extreme caution in the elderly and debilitated patients. Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting. Do not use this medicine if you are having seizures (fits), have been told you (a patient) is having a heart attack or stroke, or bleeding from your stomach or intestines. It may rarely cause a severe intestinal condition (Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea). Inform your doctor if you are taking any other antibiotics, have a stomach or intestinal ulcer, or if you experience any of them. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant. Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup may cause severe diarrhea in some patients. It may cause you to feel lightheaded, tired, dizzy, or fainting. If you experience any of these effects, stop taking Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup and call your doctor at once. Do not use Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup with the following medicines: Ciprofloxacin, Penicillin, or Vancomycin. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe heart or liver problems. Do not use Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup if you have serious heart problems, have a heart failure, or have had a heart attack in the past 12 months. Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup is not recommended for use in children, who are pregnant or trying to become pregnant. Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup should be used with extreme caution in the elderly, debilitated patients, and elderly patients with a history of heart attack. Do not use Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup with any other medicine or with the following medicines: Ciprofloxacin, Penicillin, or Vancomycin, as these medicines may interact with each other. Some medicines may be affected by Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup or may affect the action of other medicines. Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any other medicines; or if you are taking any other medicines. Your doctor may adjust your dose or prescribe a different one if you have not used it before. Take Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup exactly as it was taken before, even if you feel better. Do not stop taking Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup or do not use it every day. Your doctor may have prescribed this medicine differently if you have changed your medical condition. Take Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup at least 30 minutes before alcohol or other alcohol. Do not take it more than once a day. You may feel better within 3 days of taking Augmentin 625mg/5ml Syrup. Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so. Continue to take this medicine even if you feel well. Do not stop using this medicine without consulting your doctor.
